How It Works

Visit. Borrow. Recover. Getting medical equipment is quick and easy.

Hours – Tuesday and Friday 12:30 – 4:30

Loaning Equipment

  • Visit – Stop by during our open hours — no appointment is required. A trained volunteer will help you select the equipment you need. You may borrow as many pieces of equipment as you need.
  • Complete a Loan Form – You’ll fill out a short loan form with you: Full Name, Physical Address, Phone Number, Email.
  • Pay Loan Fee – The Base Charge is $20 for a two-month loan. Specialty equipment has an increased charge due to cost and maintenance. PLEASE NOTE – Knee scooters require a prescription due to safety concerns.
  • Your Loan Number – You’ll receive a loan number for your records. Please keep this number, as it helps us quickly assist you for renewal or return.
  • Need to renew? – If you need more time call us and we can take payment over the phone by card or visit us in person during open hours.

Returning Equipment

  • Enter through Side Gate – When returning equipment, please drive to the left side of our building and enter through the gate. Volunteers will be there to assist you.
  • Equipment Intake – Our volunteers will check items in, and mark them as returned.
  • Bring loan Information – For a quick return experiance please bring your copy of the loan form or your loan number.
  • Partial Return – You may return some items while renewing others you still need. Just let a volunteer know, and we’ll help take care of both during your visit.

Important Information

  • Late Fees – Late fees may be charged if equipment is more than 10 days overdue. Please contact us if you need to renew.

  • Equipment Issues – If equipment is damaged or not working properly, bring it back to exchange or repair. This applies to normal wear — not severely damaged equipment.

  • If It Doesn’t Work for You – If an item isn’t a good fit, feel free to return it and try another. Every home and bathroom setup is different, and we understand.

  • Special Requests – If you have a special need or are looking for a specific item, let us know and leave your name. New equipment arrives often.

  • Loading & Unloading – For safety reasons, volunteers cannot help load or unload equipment. Please bring assistance for heavy items.

More Than Equipment

Our volunteers don’t just hand out equipment—they share experience, encouragement, and understanding. Many have been where you are, recovering from surgery or helping others through it. They take the time to listen, answer questions, and help you feel prepared for what’s ahead.

Because here, it’s not just about what you take home—it’s about how you feel when you leave.
