ABOUT THE MEDICAL LOAN CLOSET OF HENDERSON COUNTY
The Medical Loan Closet of Henderson County is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides durable medical equipment on a loan basis at low cost to residents of Henderson County facing recovery from illness, accident or otherwise in need of such equipment on a short-term basis.
The Medical Loan Closet's large assortment of durable medical equipment includes wheelchairs, knee walkers, winnie walkers, hospital beds, elevated toilet seats, shower and tub transfer benches and more. Loans can be paid for with cash, check and most credit cards (regrettably, we cannot accept American Express).
Serving Henderson County for more than 60 years, the Medical Loan Closet is governed by a volunteer board of directors and led by Executive Director Maureen K. Graham who works with a few other staff members and a team of volunteers.
Tax-deductible contributions from individuals and businesses help support the work of the Medical Loan Closet. The nonprofit also has benefited from grant funding from such organizations as Community Foundation of Henderson County, Pisgah Health Foundation and the United Way of Henderson County, as well as from the City of Hendersonville and Henderson County.
